I Cara Carabout you a lot 🍊💖

Anthony Rossetti

So... does your special someone love cocktails, but your mixology skills are - shall we say - lacking? Well, unlike the time your Aunt Mary made her "secret recipe” cupcakes (which were really just Betty Crocket’s with a little nutmeg added), it's not that easy to impress when it comes to drinks. But now, you too can become a master mixologist by just adding a few special touches to your effort.

Whether you're planning a special date night or a cozy night-in this Valentine's Day, it's never a bad idea to throw a fun cocktail into the mix. In honor of the most romantic day of the year, we shook up one of the tastiest Valentine's Day concoctions around that’ll surely capture hearts this year. It's nothing less than romance in a glass. You’ll certainly fall head over heels for this one. Now that we’ve exhausted the remainder of our terrible Valentine’s Day puns…let’s get to it.

"Cara Carousel of Love" is an accessible, not too-complicated cocktail that will certainly excite your taste buds!

First, take 1/2 cup of Dried Rose Petals and infuse it into your bottle of Blanco Tequila (personally I prefer Espolòn Tequila Blanco, or Maestro Dobel Diamante), and let it sit for at least 8 hours and no more than 24 hours. Strain them into a decanter bottle, or back into the original bottle.

Semi-Pro Tip:

If you don't have the time or don't want to risk messing up the infusion you can always buy a Tequila Rosa, something like CĂ“DIGO 1530 or even Calirosa Rosa Blanco Tequila. You'll obviously pay a couple more dollars for these, but it is the "safe" option.

the liquids:

1.5 oz Rose Tequila
.5 oz Bitter Orange Liqueur (Like Aperol)
.75 oz Lemon Juice or approx. Juice of half a Lemon
.5 oz Demerara Syrup (1.5:1 ratio Raw Sugar Simple Syrup)
2 dashes Orange bitters
oh and of course... the garnish! A beautiful citrus fan made with Dehydrated Cara Cara Oranges & Dehydrated Blood Oranges, Sprinkle some Dried Rose Petal's and you've got yourself a hell of a lover... I mean cocktail.
Sober Pro Tip:
You can buy both spirits in their N/A counterparts via Lyre's Spirit Co.
If you want N/A bitters you can buy via Stirring's, lucky for you you can get pretty much the whole sober kit and kaboodle via Better Rhode's Valentine's Cocktail kit... which also has another invigorating cocktail for 2.

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds, strain all ingredients into a rocks glass

Garnish with an orange wheel & rose petals from our Strawberry Bouquet Cocktail Kit and enjoy!

Cheers and have a safe Valentine's Day!
